
Therapeutic Case Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Case Manager.
- The successful candidate will utilise their community services expertise to provide support and advice to the Countering Violent Extremism unit.
The Terrorism (Community Protection) Act 2003 (Vic) establishes two therapeutic case management schemes that provide early intervention for individuals who are vulnerable to, or are at risk of radicalising towards, violent extremism.
About The RoleSenior Case Managers play a key role in the service delivery of the therapeutic schemes, providing frontline services to participants. Their responsibilities include:
- Applying evidence-based practice in the case management of participants, ensuring effective assessment, planning, intervention, and review.
- Identifying, assessing, and evaluating factors that relate to an individual's behaviour and providing individualised risk assessment, case planning, service coordination, delivering effective interventions to reduce risk, and liaising with suitable stakeholders for the delivery of appropriate interventions.
- Motivating and influencing participants in the case management process. Modelling pro-social behaviours and drawing on strengths-based approaches.
- Monitoring participant's compliance against case management plans; demonstrating assertiveness and confidence in dealing with participants exhibiting challenging behaviours and escalating issues to senior staff in a timely manner.
- Presenting on the progress of an individual's participation in the therapeutic schemes to CVE MAP members and other stakeholders.
- Proactively building and maintaining positive relationships with key strategic internal and external stakeholders such as service providers within a highly sensitive operating environment to support the ongoing effective delivery of therapeutic interventions.
- Maintaining a commitment to the highest standards of confidentiality and professional integrity in relation to all matters of both schemes.

About YouWe are looking for someone who possesses:
- A deep understanding and/or practice of effective case management practices; proactively managing risk with more complex individuals.
- A strong ability to deliver tailored intervention to clients to address risk and need.
- A strong ability to identify and respond to participant needs while using the understanding of the participant's context to tailor services and ensure outcomes are delivered.
- An appropriate qualification in social work, psychology, allied health or a related field is desirable.
