DescriptionAre you passionate about supporting the development of children and creating high-quality education and care programs? Do you thrive in an environment where collaboration with families and colleagues is key to fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing space for children to grow? If so, we'd love for you to bring your skills and enthusiasm to our Children's Services team. As a valued member of our team, you will help shape the future of young learners, ensuring their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development through engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
In this role, you will assist in delivering educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and contribute to the creation of enriching and inclusive learning experiences. You will be instrumental in observing and documenting children's progress, offering valuable insights into their development, and working alongside our Children's Services Coordinator and Early Childhood Teacher to evaluate and improve the daily program. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help ensure that every child receives the attention and care they need to thrive in a secure, clean, and nurturing environment.
As Assistant Educator, you will build strong, positive relationships with families and ensure open communication about their child's experiences and progress. You'll support the inclusion of families through collaborative activities and events, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. In addition, you will be a key contributor to maintaining the highest standards of child well-being and safety by adhering to child protection policies and responding to children's physical and emotional needs as they arise. You will also provide support in administering first aid when needed and actively participate in team discussions and reflective practices to continually enhance the quality of the program.
To succeed in this role, you will need an ACECQA-approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or be working towards it), along with a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a Class C driver's license are also required. You should be an empathetic, patient, and flexible individual with strong communication and observation skills, eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
