We're seeking a highly capable and strategic People & Culture Program & Performance Manager to join our People & Culture team in this new role, driving the delivery of key programs, performance initiatives, and transformation projects that support our bold organisational vision of 'People and technology working together to build a better world'.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this critical role will lead the development and execution of the P&C program of work and annual operating plan. You'll oversee the planning and coordination of programs and initiatives across the People & Culture portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, efficient use of resources, and effective delivery of results.

With a strong focus on program management and organisational performance, you'll guide cross-functional teams, develop reporting frameworks to track progress against KPIs, and implement communication strategies that support successful change and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the annual P&C cycle of planning, performance reporting, and project delivery
  • Coordinate complex transformation initiatives across the P&C function
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards aligned to strategic KPIs
  • Support prioritisation of P&C investments and resourcing to maximise impact
  • Work closely with Swinburne University communications team to ensure communication strategies and plans are in place
  • Partner with senior leaders to align P&C programs with broader university goals

About You

To be suitable for this role, you will need extensive experience and demonstrated ability in a medium to large-sized organisation, including:

  • Proven ability working in large and complex environments to bring contemporary best practice P&C skills to the organization
  • Strong expertise in P&C program management and operations, assisting to drive change and transformation
  • Experience developing innovative people strategies and annual operating plans with a track record of achievement
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience creating comprehensive governance and management reports with strategic insights and actionable recommendations
  • Experience improving operational HR aspects through process redesign, technology (including AI), and automation
Qualifications

Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in HR, business administration, or related fields.
