Senior Legal Counsel – Melbourne

Join Kinetic, Australia and New Zealand's largest and fastest growing bus operator, as we shape the future of zero-emissions transport. We're looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert, commercially focused legal advice and play a key role in protecting Kinetic's interests while supporting growth across the business.

In This Role, You Will

  • Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of contracts including services agreements, procurement and construction contracts, M&A documentation and leases
  • Deliver clear and strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders with a focus on practical solutions
  • Support business growth by managing internal and external legal workstreams, transactions and tenders
  • Enhance legal risk and governance processes and ensure compliance with regulations and tender obligations
  • Strengthen legal knowledge and awareness across the business

About You
  • You hold a current Australian practising certificate with at least 5 years' PQE from a top or mid-tier law firm
  • You're commercially minded, solutions-oriented and experienced in advising across diverse legal areas
  • You bring strong judgement, integrity, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • You've worked on complex commercial matters, ideally with exposure to M&A, infrastructure, projects or energy
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a team that's making a difference
