What You Will Be Doing In This RoleWe're growing our Neuro Spinal theatre team. We're looking for passionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join as Neuro Scrub/Scout Nurses. You'll work in a friendly, highly skilled perioperative team that supports 19 operating theatres and is committed to delivering exceptional, patient‑centred care. You'll be working under the guidance of our Nurse Unit Manager – Operating Suite alongside colleagues who value teamwork and clinical excellence. A $10,000 sign‑on bonus is offered (conditions apply).
Responsibilities- Assist in Neuro/Spinal surgeries as a scrub/scout nurse.
- Support patient care in the perioperative setting across mixed morning and evening shifts (no night shifts).
- Participate in on‑call rosters as part of the role.
- Demonstrate teamwork, critical thinking, initiative, clear communication, and the ability to respond confidently in complex situations.
- Current AHPRA registration is essential.
- 3–4 years' experience as a scrub/scout nurse in Neuro/Spinal surgery.
- Experience in Neuro surgeries (craniotomies, spinal fusions, and interventional neuro procedures such as Biplane) is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work a mix of morning and evening shifts; no night shifts required.
- Willingness to participate in the on‑call roster and provide support during those times.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and initiative; clear and compassionate written and verbal communication.
