OSHC Assistant Coordinator | Oxley State School Helping Hands

Our Outside School Hours Care service, Oxley State School Helping Hands, is seeking a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist in managing the service and delivering engaging programs for primary-aged children.

This permanent part-time role offers 25 hours per week (guaranteed minimum) to support team leadership. You will work split shifts supporting hours Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 8:50am (Rise then Shine Program) and 3:00pm – 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program), with opportunities for extra hours during school holidays.

About the role

Co-managing a team of Educators, you'll balance support and leadership. You will oversee a primary school service operating before and after school for children aged 5-12 years, with support from a regional office and managers who provide regular mentorship.

  • Develop and facilitate engaging, child-centered programs including STEM, sports, cooking, art, and craft.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
  • Lead onsite Educators, including roster management.
  • Manage daily operations, compliance, and administration.
Who are we looking for?
  • Enjoy working with children.
  • Strong, clear communication skills.
  • A team player with leadership aspirations.
  • Willing to obtain or hold a valid police check (paid for by us) and a working with children check.
  • Currently studying or qualified in a relevant early childhood field as per ACECQA standards.
