Overview

Field Service Engineer - Southern Region

Location: Melbourne, VIC, Australia. This is an on-site position in Mount Waverley (Melbourne). You will be part of the Southern Team and report to the Regional Service Manager responsible for service calls and installed base.

Responsibilities
  • Provide the highest standard of technical service and support to customers, troubleshooting and repairing complex instrumentation across private pathology and hospital pathology customers in VIC, VIC, TAS, SA, WA, and NT.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to improve instrument reliability.
  • Collaborate with Regional Service Managers to ensure effective first-time fix rates.
Essential Requirements
  • Equivalent of 3 years in industry experience in service, technical support or plant maintenance, preferably within the pathology diagnostics industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Travel, License & Environment
  • Ability to travel – approximately 30% travel, overnight, within territory across VIC, TAS, SA, WA, and NT.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred / Plus
  • Experience with electrical or restricted licenses would be an advantage.
