Community Mental Health - Rehabilitation Services (Whyalla)
Whyalla Hospital hosts the SaltbushCommunity Mental Health Rehabilitation service, which is part of the South Australian Government's strategy to reform mental health services and to provide a stepped model of care to regional South Australians at a location closer to home. The service supports people who may have been living independently in the community but require a more supported environment to enhance their living skills, or those who may have completed their stay in hospital and are ready for community-based treatment and rehabilitation. The Mental Health Support Worker plays a key role in delivering recovery-oriented, evidence-based services that make a real difference in the lives of consumers across the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network. Working closely with clinicians, you'll provide practical, non-clinical psychosocial support in community, acute, and rehabilitation settings, helping consumers achieve their goals and embrace recovery. Through hands-on assistance and guidance, you'll empower individuals, support their wellbeing, and contribute to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to improving mental health outcomes in the local community.
About You :
Experience in reporting to and liaising with multiple stakeholders across the spectrum of community services or health.Experience in working with people who have health and / or mental health related issues.Experience in working within a community services team environment and successful participation in such a setting.Experience in Microsoft Office software packages including word processing, desktop publishing, Excel and Outlook.Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.Please refer to the role description below for more detailed information on the position, responsibilities, and qualifications.
