Join SALHN in the State-wide Eating Disorders Service as a Clinician, where you'll provide specialist mental health care to individuals and families affected by eating disorders across Adelaide's southern communities. About the role:
Reporting to the Team Manager, your duties will include:
- Providing proficient clinical care and/or individual case management to clients with diagnosed eating disorders
- Overseeing discipline-specific care within SEDS
- Offering group and individual evidence-based psychological therapies
- Supporting clients to utilize community supports, considering social and cultural diversity
- Participating in referral triage, including gathering information from referral sources and obtaining collateral data
- Engaging in communication forums with staff, clients, families, and carers
- Psychology candidates may coordinate interventions for the inpatient program at Flinders Medical Centre's eating disorder unit
About you:
- Highly motivated with the ability to engage clients with high service needs
- Strong assessment skills, including mental state, client strengths and needs, risk assessment, and use of eating disorder assessment tools
- Extensive experience in mental health clinical roles
- Leadership experience with student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
- Skills in psychosocial rehabilitation and individualized program planning
- Experience delivering evidence-based therapies such as CBT-E is an asset
This is a single vacancy with multiple appointment classifications. Successful applicants will be appointed based on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
Please note, this position is multi-classed as RN/M2C & AHP2, with classification determined by qualifications and experience.
To qualify for RN2C (Clinical Nurse), you need at least three years of full-time post-registration experience, including leadership of less experienced nurses.
