About the Role

We are currently seeking applications for a Weighbridge Operator at Invicta Mill in the township of Giru, south of Townsville. This is a seasonal position in our sugar processing factory which requires shift work during the crushing season on a rotating roster. The roster is a Lifestyle Roster on a 4/5 rotation, with shift hours from 4am to 4pm or 4pm to 4am.

The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for the accurate weighing of all cane entering the weighbridge and data entry from the consignment information. This position also involves cleaning, working in confined spaces, and maintaining records.

The Weighbridge is the first station of the Milling process and requires someone who can handle a distracting, high-pressure, and rewarding work environment. We provide comprehensive training to ensure the candidate is successful and confident in the role.

To be successful in this position,

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Experience with computer programs.
