Production Process Operator Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled Production Process Operator to join our team in Gladstone. This role is responsible for ensuring the sustainable operation of our manufacturing plant, working collaboratively within a shift team on a 12-hour rotating roster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production assets, conducting critical plant checks, and meeting safety, environmental, quality, and production targets. They will also play a key role in fostering a safety culture, leading by example, and driving continuous improvement through participation in SHE training and development of work instructions.

  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Central Control Room Operators and other team members to respond to plant issues and minimize delays.
  • Interact with Mine and Maintenance teams to meet production goals.
  • Use knowledge of plant operations to identify and prevent potential problems through critical checks.
  • Execute process sampling and laboratory testing to meet quality control standards.
  • Operate key production assets such as train unloader and ship loader equipment.
  • Work in physically demanding environments, including hot work.
  • Potentially train to become a Central Control Room Panel Operator if selected.

Requirements

  • Experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in process sampling and laboratory testing.
  • Experience operating fixed material handling equipment (train unloader & ship loader).
  • Knowledge of isolation procedures and permit systems (JPT / JSEAs, Work Instruction Development).
  • Strong safety awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and identify solutions.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • High Risk Licence – Forklift.
  • Cementitious manufacturing experience (desirable).
  • Tertiary education or trade background (desirable).
  • Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and results-driven mindset.
