Packaging Technologist role at McCormick & Company in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

About The Role

This role will report to the Director of Packaging Development, APAC and be responsible for the delivery of packaging solutions for the Consumer and Flavour Solutions Australian business, and manage all aspects of packaging development projects from concept to commercialization. The ideal candidate will have experience in packaging development, ideally within the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • To support and manage the packaging design and development components of all new projects.
  • Provide technical support to business plans and work closely with marketing, sales, supply chain, procurement, vendors on process, innovation and packaging material cost improvements to ensure purpose led performance sustainability targets are on track.
  • Support the APCO action plan, report writing and conduct PREP tool analysis.
  • Conduct packaging line trials.
  • Maintain all packaging and testing specifications as well as conducting relevant packaging testing.
About You

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate Packaging Technologist to work across a wide variety of packing formats and brand categories. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Packaging experience in a FMCG environment
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build and manage key stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
