About the role:
The Family Support Services is funded by Territory Families, Housing and Communities and is a collaboration with Danila Dilba. The Family Support Services coordinate an effective service system response to respond to high and complexneeds, and trauma. The program must be able to engage with, and work effectivelywith, the broader service system.
The Family Support Services has a clear mandate to information exchange between service providers and Department ofTerritory Families, Housing and Communities to ensure quality of services,efficiency and prevent unnecessary statutory intervention. The service prioritises and fosters sector partnership and collaboration and services are based on evidence and focused on outcomes.
This is a Full-Time opportunity based in Darwin, NT within our NT Services Program. The position reports to the Manager WA/NT.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
- Bachelor's degree with specialization in in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology or a related subject area. Masters qualification preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Significant work experience in a relevant field which supports an understanding of key child development issues relating to parents and their families who have complex needs.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and improving child and or parent focused programs.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop collaborative relationships across professional and organisational boundaries, as well as knowledge of relevant Community Service Organization's, local and State Government and the ability to network with these services.

You must have a:
- Valid and current Driver's Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
