About Warddeken Land ManagementWarddeken Land Management is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as Ranger Coordinator at Mamardawerre in West Arnhem Land.
We're dedicated to conserving the Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) and fostering sustainable land management practices.About the roleThe role will coordinate the activities of the Bininj (male) rangers, collaborating closely with various stakeholders.
Reporting to the Ranger Teams Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering effective land management programs within the Warddeken IPA.
The Ranger Coordinator work closely with the CEO, Ranger Teams Manager, Operations Manager, other coordinators, and the ranger workforce to coordinate day-to-day administrative tasks and on-ground works.
The Ranger Coordinator is responsible for supporting on-the-job training and leading by example in the delivery of fire, weed, and feral animal management projects.This position involves regular remote travel within the IPA via 4WD, light aircraft and helicopter, and will suit someone who loves being out on country and camping.Key ResponsibilitiesThis is a precious opportunity to undertake meaningful work, combined with personal growth and self-discovery.
