Clinical Nurse

As a Clinical Nurse, you will act as a clinical and professional resource within the operating theatres, demonstrating advanced knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor, fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture.
- Demonstrate highly developed communication skills and a strong patient- and customer-focused approach.
- Work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the department operates safely, efficiently, and in line with best practice standards.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset and have experience working in Theatres.
- Your strong leadership, excellent time management, and developed clinical problem-solving skills will assist you in this role.
- Relevant registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum three (3) years' post graduate experience in area of speciality.
- Hold a relevant post graduate qualification or is working towards.
- Ability to act as a positive role model with excellent communication and delegation skills.
- Proven ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient.
- Advanced understanding of ANMC competencies as per nursing registration.

Perioperative services at Sunshine Coast University Private hospital offers 6 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11-bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and now offers Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI).
