THE OPPORTUNITY

Cromarty Automation is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Launceston Automation team. The primary purpose of the role is to oversee the delivery of services by our Electrical and Automation Engineers to our clients and ensure an exceptional level of service and quality.

The Engineering Manager will manage the team's workload through stewardship of current projects, provide mentoring and advice to others and participate in the delivery of technical work as appropriate.

The successful applicant will be a natural leader capable of organising, motivating and supporting a team of experienced engineering professionals in the delivery of great project outcomes. A strong customer focus and the ability to nurture existing relationships as well as identify and develop new opportunities is critical to the success of the role.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Electrical or Automation Engineering or relevant training and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, coordinating the delivery of high-quality engineering work.
  • Strong safety leadership by adhering to and promoting all Cromarty Automation safety policies and procedures.
  • Commitment to high quality service and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Maintain professional currency by staying abreast of current Electrical & Automation engineering best practice.

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

  • 10 plus years' relevant experience
  • Relevant project management experience and methodologies.
  • Industrial/manufacturing environment experience.
  • Low voltage electrical design.
  • PLC, RTU & control systems experience.
  • HMI, SCADA and MES platforms experience.
