Overview

EducationHQ, Pennant Hills, New South Wales, Australia. Permanent full-time Payroll Manager position with the Diocese of Broken Bay. Based at the Pennant Hills head office, the role supports payroll for more than 2000 staff across Catholic Schools Broken Bay.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity within a busy HR team. You will manage the payroll team to ensure timely, accurate and confidential processing and reporting of the Catholic Schools Broken Bay payroll.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, awards and other industrial instruments
  • Developing and implementing system and process efficiencies to support optimum service delivery standards
  • Working with stakeholders to design and implement contingency plans to minimise risk in areas such as data security
  • Working closely with the Head of HR Services to ensure payroll services are aligned to organisational requirements
  • Providing mentoring, regular performance feedback and coaching for staff in the team with a focus on continuous learning
  • Representing the organisation\'s payroll needs on inter-Diocesan working parties
About You / Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing; tax; superannuation; workers\' compensation payments; leave management; salary packaging and interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements
  • Experience working with Oracle (PeopleSoft Global Payroll)
  • Ability to analyse data and prepare reports
  • Experience managing a team responsible for payroll processing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within the HR team
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Recent professional development in payroll-related areas (e.g., tax, superannuation, FBT, salary packaging)
  • Demonstrated experience in streamlining payroll processes and developing associated documentation
