We have created a new position of General Manager to help foster our success.

As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our operational strategy, driving innovation, and fostering a high-performance culture that reflects our commitment to client outcomes and continuous progress.

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Managerto lead the operational success and growth of our firm. This pivotal role will oversee daily business operations, drive strategic initiatives, enhance systems and processes, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation. The GM will work closely with the executive team to ensure the firm's strategic objectives are met and its growth trajectory continues.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Lead day-to-day operations aligned with strategic goals.
• Drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.
• Manage resources and ensure role clarity across the team.
• Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Technology & Process Innovation

• Lead implementation of Fin365, Microsoft Dynamics, and AI-driven tools.
• Standardize Statement of Advice (SOA) templates and best practices.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and licensee obligations.
• Implement and maintain a robust risk management framework.
• Oversee governance, quality assurance, and compliance audits.

Cybersecurity

• Develop and execute a cybersecurity strategy.
• Train staff on cybersecurity best practices.

Marketing & Client Engagement

• Manage group marketing efforts and client-facing materials.
• Plan and deliver client events with strong ROI.
• Support brand-building and advisor-led promotion initiatives.
• Define and deliver a compelling client value proposition.
• Implement a structured Client Service Framework.
• Lead recruitment and talent development initiatives.
• Develop HR policies, KPIs, and professional development plans.
• Oversee onboarding, appraisals, and ongoing training.

Future Projects

• Explore and potentially implement Managed Discretionary Account (MDA) services.

Skills & Attributes

• Proven leadership in a senior operational or COO role within financial services.
• Experience in small to mid-sized company environments.
• Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and technology platforms (e.g., Fin365, Dynamics).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and growth.
• Project management expertise in systems, structures, and marketing initiatives.
