Opportunity:

Applications are open for current Year 11 students interested in a School-Based Fixed and Mobile Plant Apprenticeship at Moranbah North Mine, beginning January 2026. Successful candidates will follow a structured training plan, learning on the job from experts while completing a Certificate III in Engineering - Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic.

What are we looking for?

Enthusiastic, motivated candidates with a strong interest in mechanics, machinery, or engineering. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, safety focus, and teamwork are essential.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in Year 11 at Moranbah State High School, entering Year 12 in 2026.
  • Interest in mechanics, machinery, or engineering.
  • Ability to pass a medical and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Strong results in Maths and English.
  • Certificate II in Engineering is advantageous but not essential.
  • Availability for a face-to-face interview on Wednesday, 17th September at the school.
