DESCRIPTION
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual customer access to cloud services. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and seek talented individuals to join our team.
You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to deliver high standards of safety and security, providing extensive capacity at low cost, and fostering an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and ownership.
We are hiring a Network Deploy Technician for the Global Network Delivery team. Responsibilities include delivering hardware, configuring systems, and managing fiber connectivity across multiple data centers. You will work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth project execution in coordination with Technical Program Managers.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with Network Engineering & Technical Project Managers to ensure efficient rollout of designs and products.
- Manage work priorities via ticketing systems and workflows, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve project obstacles.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and connectivity issues, including device configuration and application interactions.
- Address cabling infrastructure issues, including patch panels and cords.
- Specify power and cooling needs and complete hardware racking and stacking.
- Handle customer requests through Remedy ticketing system and project workflows.
- Participate in hardware migration, configuration, and rollout activities.
- Perform additional hours as required for project delivery.
A day in the life
A typical day involves installing network equipment, managing vendors, and negotiating deadlines. You will oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- IT diploma or equivalent in related fields.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, cabling best practices, and infrastructure.
- Experience troubleshooting network and device configurations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with large-scale data center networks.
- Experience in virtualized enterprise networks.
- Knowledge of Ethernet, IP protocols, and customer support under pressure.
