Are you an experienced and passionate roller skater? Do you love working with people and want to make a real impact in our local community?

The Town of Gawler is looking for reliable, motivated, and hands-on individuals to join our team as a Skate Marshall at the Gawler Sport & Community Centre.

We're especially looking for someone with skating experience and a genuine passion for sharing the fun of skating with others. Whether you're helping beginners build their confidence on skates or creating an exciting atmosphere during public sessions, including skating birthday parties, you'll play a key role in promoting active, healthy, and connected lifestyles within the community.

The role of a Skate Marshall is ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in the sport and recreation industry or to expand their skills with a love for skating.

What You'll Be Doing
What does a Skate Marshall do?
  • Ensure the safety of skaters at public roller skating sessions, assisting with the smooth running of the sessions, including birthday parties.
  • Support public engagement during skating games to ensure safety for everyone.
  • Prepare and serve food or beverages according to health and safety standards.

Support the day-to-day operation of programs and the facility with energy and professionalism, in line with our policies.
