Overview

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Human Resources Coordinator to join our resort based HR team. This is a generalist role with a large focus on recruitment and training, and forms part of a team of 4 providing Human Resources support for a workforce of up to 300.

Responsibilities
  • End-to-end recruitment, including periods of high volume recruitment
  • Assist the HR Manager with performance management and workplace investigations
  • Providing consistent and accurate advice to staff on award interpretation, workplace legislation and Resort policies and procedures
  • Coordination and presentation of Resort Orientation on a regular basis
  • Coordination of training with RTOs and maintaining training related records
  • Assist with managing the seasonal worker program, including pastoral care for our workers
  • Monitoring and reporting relating to all Apprentices and Interns
  • Assisting as required with other department projects
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a busy HR department
  • Previous experience in Hospitality, including a sound understanding of the HIGA, will be an advantage
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills
  • A confident and discreet manner in order to appropriately manage sensitive information
