Whilst previousirrigation experience is preferred, Costa encourages motivated and physicallyfit self-starters to join experienced farm teams in the Mildura region ofVictoria to be trained as an Irrigation Technician.

The role is primarily responsible for ensuringonsite water infrastructure is correctly monitored, repaired and maintained tomeet the farm's irrigation requirements. Flexibilityto work early starts and weekends if required to meet seasonal andoperational requirements is essential.

The role will report to the FarmManager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementwater and fertigation plans to meet seasonal requirements.
  • Clean,repair and maintain sprinkler and drip irrigation including drip lines,filters, valves and pumps.
  • Checkthat irrigation has gone as scheduled and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Mix anddistribute fertilisers and accurately record fertiliser usage.
What you'll bring to the role
  • Experience working in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to learn about soils and irrigation.
  • Problem solving skills to identify and resolveirrigation issues, with supervision.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills to maintain accurateirrigation records.
  • Basic computer skills to assess electronic soil moistureprobe data.
