About The Role

The role of the Technical Business Analyst is to translate stakeholders' requirements into work that can be delivered according to scope, budget and time using agile methodologies by providing functional and non-functional analysis, translated into technical specifications to facilitate the delivery of products and business outcomes.

Your primary focus will be defining and managing the backlog for the domain team with the Product Domain Team. You will work in close collaboration with the Project Managers, Business Analysts and other digital teams to incept and elaborate features into the delivery backlog.

Role Responsibilities

• Using Agile methodologies, lead and own responsibility of functional and non-functional analysis and maintain a healthy backlog to ensure quality and acceptance criteria are defined and delivered as scoped.
• Help ensure that work is estimated, tracked, reported and documented.
• Undertake requirements gathering, data and process mapping and modelling.
• Document and record findings in a way that is meaningful and understood by stakeholders.
• Support the strategy and planning of the Product Domain team and be expected to work with various stakeholders across the business.
• When required, ensure that documentation produced by team members meets AEMO project standards and take corrective action if required.
• Become the technical and domain Subject Matter Expert
  
  

Experience And Knowledge

• Strong understanding of all aspects of the systems, design and architecture, software development life cycle in varied development approaches.
• Proven experience as a Technical Analyst with technology Teams - Deep understanding of "Agile" ways of working including experience working within dedicated agile teams e.g. Scrum
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian Tool Stack, in particular JIRA and Confluence.
• Extensive experience gathering, writing and analysing requirements and taking them through to conceptualisation.
• Experience in authoring technical documentation and end user documentation. Proven ability to conceptualise, develop and articulate solutions and to specify functional / non-functional technical requirements that are well accepted by stakeholders within short timeframes.
• Excellent analytical skills, including a proven ability to quickly analyse and develop data models, identify patterns, business rules, workflows, interfaces.
• Ability to use initiative and gather experience to take preventative steps when required to ensure that a program or project meets deliverable targets. Provide insights and impart knowledge within the project team as required.
  
  

Education/ Certificates

• Tertiary and/or postgraduate in Information Systems or a similar analytical discipline desirable.
