Looking for your next step in legal admin? We are seeking an enthusiastic Legal Assistant to be part of our Melbourne admin team.

Your new role

Your Variety Of Work Will Include

  • Collaborating with team members, extending beyond your own team
  • Building relationships with external stakeholders (clients/barristers/lawyers)
  • Drafting, proofreading and filing legal documents and correspondence
  • Preparing briefs to counsel, court books and mediation briefs
  • Matter management including setting up files, conflict checks and due diligence procedures
  • Completing end of month billing, including invoice preparation and file closures for national client base, assisting our Client Revenue & Operations Manager
  • General administration support (e.g. diary management, booking travel)

Your Skills And Experience

You will bring to the role:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in administration
  • Microsoft365 proficiency and confidence learning new systems
  • Adaptability and experience in an efficient and fast-paced environment
  • Initiative and autonomy while also taking a collaborative approach
  • Excellent written skills and attention to detail
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fine-tuned multi-tasking and organisational skills
