Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead end-to-end international and domestic logistics strategy for BESS, components, and spare parts across Australia, including customs clearance, distribution timing, mitigate risks related to Australian supply chain bottlenecks, customs and remote site access, and warehouse management audit.
  2. Understand customer demand, daily communications, and troubleshooting. Participate in customer order reviews, communicate with sales team/customers, understand needs, identify delivery risks, and evaluate delivery plans.
  3. Order Management: Track and manage the entire order delivery process to ensure timely delivery. Ensure the project implementation process follows company process specifications and customer requirements.
  4. Collaborate with EA team to plan and execute multimodal transport to Australian ports and remote project sites; coordinate with domestic logistics on critical lifts, heavy transport, and oversize loads requiring state permits/pilot vehicles.
  5. Australian compliance and documentation: ensure compliance with Customs, ADG, IATA DGR, Li-ion battery DG regulation, Safety, CoR, state road access permits, and environmental regulations.
  6. Liaise with freight forwarders, stevedores, transport contractors, and site teams to align delivery schedules with construction timelines.
  7. Risk mitigation and problem solving: address Australian-specific risks (port congestion, bushfire, cyclone season, remote roads, load-bearing bridges, unsealed roads) and develop contingency plans for critical component delays.
  8. Cost and inventory optimization: freight rate and cost control; support demurrage/detention costs; optimize container utilization; secure temperature-controlled storage and pre-installations (testing, charging).
