About The Opportunity

The Infrastructure team manages the daily presentation of the public domain within Cumberland, ensuring it is maintained to meet community expectations. The Trades Worker will perform various maintenance works, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in line with industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Carpentry, Certificate IV in Building and Construction) with experience in building maintenance, sign placement, bollards, seat installations, formwork, and fence repair.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in building maintenance.
  • Proficiency in computer use and software.
  • Strong customer focus and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and TechOne.
  • Ability to plan and meet timelines efficiently.
  • Current Class MR Drivers License.
  • Current White Card (General Construction Induction).
  • Current Traffic Control certification.

Role Details

  • Permanent, full-time position, 35 hours/week.
  • Access to RDOs and based at Auburn Depot with travel across worksites.

Salary

Grade 6 ($1,213.90 to $1,487.03/week) + 12% super, in accordance with NSW Local Government (State) Award. Salary negotiable based on experience.

  • Pre-employment checks and medical examination.
  • Vaccination status evidence as per Council's COVID-19 policy.
