Overview

The Senior Policy Officer undertakes a key role in the delivery of the Residential Efficiency Scorecard, a national program to improve the energy performance of existing homes through a star rating. The role is responsible for leading activities including the design and delivery of projects that support program uptake nationally and the management of relationships with jurisdictional and external stakeholders including Scorecard assessors. The role requires the ability to understand, engage with and communicate the benefits of the Residential Efficiency Scorecard to a variety of audiences, and may be required to represent the Department in meetings and forums.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of projects that support uptake of the Residential Efficiency Scorecard nationally.
  • Manage relationships with jurisdictional and external stakeholders including Scorecard assessors.
  • Engage with and communicate the benefits of the Residential Efficiency Scorecard to a variety of audiences.
  • Represent the Department in meetings and forums as required.
Qualifications and Expertise
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in residential energy efficiency or a related sector is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in program delivery including project management, quality assurance and stakeholder management is desirable.
Contract and Location
  • This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2026.
  • The work location is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
