Remuneration: $106,789 - $117,128 pa HEW Level 07 (plus 17% employer superannuation)

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert, forward-thinking research and revenue accounting advice and support across complex research activities.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the University to influence financial decisions, optimise research outcomes, and ensure robust financial planning, reporting and compliance in support of Monash's research portfolio.
  • Deliver high-quality, client-focused financial support through research grant budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and analyse complex budgets with internal stakeholders, identify issues early, and provide mitigation options.
  • Embed continuous improvement into day-to-day practice and deliver exceptional finance partnering services.
  • Foster collaboration using strong networks and clear, actionable financial insights and advice to inform planning, governance, reporting and policy development across the R&R accounting landscape.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in financial management, particularly in complex budgeting and analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Commercial acumen, organisational excellence and leadership capability.
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP; ability to distil and present complex financial data clearly.
