Senior Design Drafter - Structural (Utilities & Renewable Energy)

As part of Quanta Services, we specialise in the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of substations, transmission lines, wind farms, and battery storage systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide structural design support across the full project lifecycle for utility or renewable energy projects to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely outcomes.
  • Interpret and implement design information provided by Primary, Civil and Structural Design Engineers and the Design Manager.
  • Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to ensure designs are practical and constructible and refined through real-world feedback.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of projects shaping Australia's renewable energy future, including HV substations, wind farms and battery storage systems.
Qualifications
  • Previous structural design/drafting experience in the utility or renewable energy industry.
  • Sound knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Ability to interpret and implement design information from engineers and design managers.
  • Tertiary studies are favourable but not essential.
