Project Manager – IT / Digital Solutions

Shape the Future as a Project Manager at SDSI — Where Leadership Meets Purpose SDSI is looking for a driven and organised Project Manager to join our East Brisbane Project Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–5 years' experience who\'s ready to take ownership of projects, lead scoping and proposals, and grow their career in a purposeful environment. Reporting to the Governance and Project Director, you\'ll manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects while developing project scope, proposals, and sales documentation. You\'ll play a critical role in shaping projects from the outset and guiding them through to successful delivery. Our projects directly support public safety agencies, so your work will have a tangible impact on keeping communities stronger and safer. This is an office-based role in East Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of project scope, proposals, and sales documentation to support new initiatives.
  • Manage IT projects from initiation through to completion — including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Work with internal teams to coordinate resources and align delivery with agreed scope.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and issues resolved.
  • Maintain clear and accurate project documentation — project plans, registers, meeting minutes, and status reports.
  • Monitor project progress against scope, budget, and deadlines, escalating risks/issues to senior leadership where required.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and internal leadership.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of project delivery frameworks and governance.
What We\'re Looking For
  • 2–5 years\' experience as a Project Manager within the IT sector.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to scope.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading scoping, proposals, and client-facing documentation.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Project, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of project governance, risk, and issue management.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven with a can-do attitude.
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Formal project management certification or familiarity with project methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMBOK.
  • Experience with Jira, Tempo, and SharePoint (highly regarded).
  • Bachelor\'s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Why Join SDSI?
  • Deliver impactful projects that support emergency services.
  • Play a critical role in both defining projects and leading their delivery.
  • Report directly to the Governance and Project Director, with clear guidance and support.
  • Be part of a culture that values initiative, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Build your career in a supportive, collaborative environment.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Central East Brisbane office with excellent amenities.
  • Paid day off on your birthday.
  • Up to one week of paid volunteering leave.
