Role overview

Community Corrections Officer (Talent pool creation) – Sydney Metro District Community Corrections, Corrective Services NSW. This is a talent pool for future ongoing and temporary roles within metro Sydney, valid for up to 18 months.

Employment type: Talent Pool Creation

Salary: $99,938 - $110,271 per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading (Clerk Grade 5/6).

Your role

As a Community Corrections Officer, you will join a dedicated team focused on offender rehabilitation and enhancing community safety. You will collaborate with individuals under supervision to develop and implement rehabilitative strategies, monitor progress toward goals, and conduct home visits to ensure compliance with conditions. You will help improve outcomes for diverse communities and will have opportunities for training and career progression within Corrective Services NSW.

• Excellent communication, confidentiality, and integrity in all interactions.
• Experience in case management, resilience, and a proactive, positive attitude.
• Ability to work from an office and conduct face-to-face interactions with individuals under supervision.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to operate in challenging environments; decisive in managing complex situations.

Training and application details

Successful candidates will complete a mandatory four-week, in-person, paid training program at Corrective Services Brush Farm Academy as part of the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice curriculum.
