ABOUT THE ROLE
The Payment Disputes and Risk Officer will join the Global Payments Risk Team to manage daily transaction dispute administrative tasks and provide high-quality customer service to merchants, payment facilitators, and financial institutions regarding payment disputes.
As part of the collaborative Risk Team, responsibilities include monitoring merchant transactions for suspicious activity, assessing alerts, and making informed decisions based on company policies and intuition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage Chargeback and Direct Debit Claim processes according to policies and standards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries regarding disputes and claims.
- Meet deadlines for payment scheme responses to maximize recovery and minimize losses.
- Review transactional activity through monitoring systems, analyze alerts, and escalate when necessary.
- Assist with merchant activity reviews and information requests.
- Support internal stakeholders with dispute-related inquiries and fraud prevention.
- Assess merchant activity compliance with company guidelines.
- Contribute to process improvements through feedback and innovative ideas.
- Provide escalation recommendations to management.
- Communicate with merchants and conduct risk investigations.
- Exercise discretion and judgment to resolve merchant issues.
- Liaise with banking partners and clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SALARY
The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $92,000 plus superannuation.
