We are currently seeking an External Sales Representative to join our Water Service & Solutions (WSS) team. This role is critical in driving Xylem's sales objectives within the designated territory of the Central /North West region of Queensland, with a focus on promoting our diverse range of water solutions to the mining sector based in the surrounding Mount Isa and Cloncurry region.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan in collaboration with the Sales Manager to achieve sales, profit, and growth targets.
  • Conduct regular sales visits as outlined in the sales plan, offering expert product advice and engineering solutions to customers.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by leveraging market intelligence, tender information, and future construction project leads.
  • Prepare reports and other necessary documentation in accordance with branch and customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the sales team by attending meetings and providing updates on sales progress and CRM system usage to the Sales Manager.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, addressing technical or service-related inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving repeat business.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Tertiary or Trade Level Qualifications in a Mechanical or Electrical field are required.
  • Past Industrial pump sales experience and specifically selling into the Mining sector will be highly valued.
  • Proven experience in sales, with a strong track record of lead generation and deal closure in customer-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office applications, and other sales management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with customers.
  • A customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions.
