Overview

Mindray, a global leader in medical devices and solutions, is seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Account Manager to join our friendly and supportive Patient Monitoring and Life Support team. Based in Townsville, this role will see you working closely with our service, operations, and clinical teams to drive revenue growth and expand market share for Mindray\'s Patient Monitoring and Life Support solutions across Far North Queensland (FNQ).

Responsibilities
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Forecast, plan, and meet individual sales goals by leveraging commercial partnerships and managing time effectively to balance sales activities and administrative tasks.
  • Drive Product Adoption: Promote awareness, acceptance, and usage of Mindray's Patient Monitoring solutions in both public and private hospitals within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and Maintain Customer Relationships: Establish and grow strong, long-term partnerships with existing and prospective customers to build a healthy and sustainable sales funnel.
  • Identify and Pursue Opportunities: Analyse market potential, research future opportunities, and assess the value of customer accounts to maximise sales impact across the territory.
  • Manage Sales Processes and Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on sales opportunities and market trends; maintain accurate CRM records and develop clear, professional proposals and quotations.
  • Lead Product Demonstrations and Collaborations: Organise and execute product trials with support from Clinical Application Specialists and Service Engineers; coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay Informed and Engaged: Remain current with product knowledge, competitive landscape, and market trends; attend trade shows and undertake ongoing training and development as required.
What We're Looking For
  • Tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Business, Engineering or a related field; clinical or technical background (e.g. nursing, paramedical) highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the medical device industry.
  • Solid knowledge of Patient Monitoring and Life Support solutions, preferably in acute care settings (ICU, OR, ED, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resilient and self-motivated, with the ability to navigate setbacks and rejections in a competitive market; able to work autonomously.
  • Familiarity with the territory and existing customer networks is an advantage; current driver's licence and own vehicle required.
