NES Fircroft is supporting our valued client, Woodside, in seeking an Operations Readiness Engineer for the Browse Project Team on an initial 15-month contract.

About the Business Unit:

Browse is an offshore gas development project located in the northern region of Western Australia. The Browse Business Unit is based in Perth and reports to the Executive Vice President of Technical & Energy Developments. The project includes subsea production wells, gathering systems, a greenhouse gas injection system, two gas and condensate FPSOs, and a gas export pipeline connecting the Browse resource to the NWS assets. The BU is progressing the project to FEED ready status.

About the Role:

The Operations Readiness team ensures integrated asset readiness throughout the lifecycle. Collaborating with Corporate, Business, and Engineering teams, the role focuses on efficient operations. Responsibilities include delivering FEED entry strategies for Subsea and FPSO, providing detailed input to FEED ITTs, and understanding Contracting and Procurement practices. The position reports to the Browse Operations Readiness Manager and contributes to developing the Browse project for optimal operational outcomes.

Skills & Experience:
  • Degree-qualified engineer with a minimum of 10 years of multi-discipline experience.
  • Experience in Management of Maintenance, Operations, and Subsea Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Digital, Data, and IT terminologies and processes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong governance, ethics, and self-awareness.
