About the role :

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Service Operations Manager / Regional Service Branch Manager with a strong background in service-based organizations, preferably in the lift industry or similar sectors such as Fire, Security, HVAC, or Plumbing.

The position reports directly to the Regional General Manager for NSW and oversees Schindler's largest business unit in Australia. The role requires an effective leader capable of motivating, driving, and supporting a team of managers and industry-leading service teams, ensuring top-tier service for our customers.

This role has full P&L responsibility for our NSW Service division and involves managing Service Managers, Key Account Managers, and Sales Managers to deliver service requirements on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Managing key customer relationships, understanding and acting upon customer needs
  • Driving financial performance, business growth, and minimizing labour costs
  • Coordinating manpower to meet all job requirements
  • Building and maintaining an effective service management team
  • Performance management of programs and personnel
  • Promoting safe behaviors and culture

What we are looking for :

  • Experience in operations/service management, ideally in the lift or a similar industry
  • A degree in business management is highly regarded
  • Motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership and business management skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, environment, and customer relationships
  • Previous people management experience, especially with unionized workforces
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in contract negotiation and customer management
