Overview

Manager - Data Governance and Management at Scyne Advisory. This is a client-facing consulting role within our Transformation Practice, located in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. As a client-facing consultant, you'll play a crucial role in providing the best possible advice, services and support to help our Federal Government clients achieve complex challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes for Australians.

Transformation Practice

Our Transformation Practice brings together the skills and capabilities to support our clients to address their big agendas and deliver transformation programs, and encompasses:

  • Architecture & Technology.

  • Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Execution & Enablement.

Our Data & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Team in the Transformation Practice unlocks the value of data to provide actionable insights, and identifies how and where AI can be leveraged to deliver a capability advantage. We work across elements including:

  • Data mapping, transformation and migration
  • Data strategy and platforms
  • Reporting and data visualisation
  • Gen AI and LLMs
  • Advanced analytics / simulations

As a Manager, You Will
  • Deliver client work related to establishment or operation of data management functions.
  • Lead project teams effectively, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet client objectives.
  • Manage client relationships and address their needs proactively.
  • Oversee budget and resource allocation for projects.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to team members.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industry experience working with organisations that have undertaken large scale data transformations.
  • A sound understanding of data strategy, data governance and data frameworks used by Australian government organisations.
  • Experience with data management tools
  • A reasonable understanding of contemporary technologies including networks, hyperscale clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP), common SaaS applications, end user compute, and data and AI tools/platforms.
  • Strong project management skills and the proven ability to lead a team of people in the delivery of a data management project
