Responsibilities
  • Support the effective delivery of the Council\'s financial services, reporting to the Finance Manager.
  • Handle a broad range of functions including Rates, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
  • Provide administrative support across the organisation.
  • Contribute to compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, Local Government financial obligations, and the Katherine Town Council Enterprise Agreement.
  • Maintain smooth and accurate operation of Council\'s financial systems and processes as a key member of the Finance team.

Salary and conditions

This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $72,570.56 per annum. The role includes generous leave entitlements, offering 6 weeks of annual leave and 3 weeks of personal leave (pro-rata). Employees also benefit from Council's Wellbeing Strategy, may access salary sacrifice options, a provided uniform, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
