We are looking for a Portfolio Administrator to provide administrative support to the Fixed Income team, in the following areas - Portfolio Management Support for the Fixed Income service, Research Support, meeting preparation, and dealing with ad-hoc enquiries. This role will be based in our Ipswich office but supporting the team at our Mayfair office, and will require regular travel to that office.
Key Accountabilities- Portfolio Management Support
- Maintaining the client databsae
- Monitoring of cash flows and stock transfers
- Monitoring existing portfolio cash levels
- Checking management fees, monitoring pay-aways,and journals
- Checking contract notes
- Providing support in execution and reporting of trades
- Responding to emails
- Research Support
- Proof-reading research content
- Keep records up to date
- Maintain research intranet
- Keep bond list up to date
- Meeting Preparation
- Gathering data for reports and meeting agenda items
- Production of reports
- Drafting presentations/updates for client and internal meetings
- Ad-hoc Enquiries
- Answering enquiries from other internal teams
- Answering enquiries from the Investment Managers
- Production of ad-hoc charts
- Getting Things Done: Delivers on agreed objectives promptly; prioritises workload; remains professional under pressure;
- Communication & Sharing Knowledge: Confident, clear and accurate with all communication; maintains accurate records and makes effective use of new technology;
- Customer Service: Positive attitude to find solutions in line with FCAprinciples; Uses customer feedback to improve service;
- Effectiveness & Adaptability: Able to maintain a high volume of work, striving for continual improvements; understands individual contribution in relation to corporate objectives; presents a positive image and approach to change; and
- Team Working: Shares knowledge, skills and experience with colleagues; understands team goals; is cooperative and supportive of others.
- Good standard of education (A-level or equivalent)
- Previous administration experience
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- An understanding or interest in financial markets, particularly Bonds, would be advantageous
