Overview

Base pay range: A$130,000.00/yr - A$150,000.00/yr

Datacom is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our high-performance Professional Services team. This is a customer-facing consulting position that requires exceptional collaborative skills and the ability to build strong partnerships with our customers and within Datacom. The successful candidate will ideally have previous Professional Services experience with external customers and exposure to all aspects of delivering projects, including consulting, design, configuration, testing and deployment.

Our offices are based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. We support flexible work arrangements and aim to balance in-person collaboration with work-from-home effectiveness. To be successful in this role, you must be an Australian citizen and must have an NV1 security clearance.

Location is flexible across supported Australian cities with a focus on delivering value to customers in a collaborative, client-facing environment.

What You'll Do
  • Work closely with Customers, Partners, Sales and Technical teams in a cross-disciplinary role
  • Ensure assigned IT infrastructure-based projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed scope
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for implementation services and solutions, provided remotely or on-site
  • Provide pre-sales support and expertise to the sales team

What You'll Bring

To be successful, you must have experience working with external enterprise customers delivering projects in professional services environments. You should have design, implementation and optimization experience in the following areas:

  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange
  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, AHV)
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to communicate solutions to all levels of a customer organization
  • Ability to work independently on competing priorities and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additionally, it is desirable to demonstrate design, implementation and optimization experience in one or more of the following:

  • Backup and recovery (e.g., Commvault, Veeam)
  • Hyperconverged technologies (e.g., Nutanix, Dell, Cisco)
