About The Role

We're seeking passionate Chefs for FIFO roles across our remote Oil & Gas mobile camps in Queensland. If you love creating hearty, home-style meals and want to bring comfort to crews working in the bush, this is your chance to shine.

You'll be the culinary heart of the camp, serving up everything from energizing breakfasts to satisfying dinners for 8 - 35 field staff. You'll work independently and report directly to the Camp Manager.

What You'll Do

  • Cook and serve high-quality, nutritious meals
  • Run the kitchen solo - prep, cook, clean, and assist with ordering supplies
  • Follow strict food safety and HSE procedures
  • Deliver top-notch customer service
  • Pitch in with laundry, cleaning, and meal transport as needed

What You'll Need
  • Commercial cookery or food safety qualifications
  • Manual Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and extended periods away from home

Point of hire: Toowoomba

Meeting point: Wilsonton Airport, Toowoomba

You'll need to make your way to Toowoomba. Ventia covers travel to site and can provide overnight accommodation if needed.
