Overview

Analyst - Portfolio Credit Risk at Judo Bank. Permanent, full-time role based in Melbourne or Sydney.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with ensuring the Credit Risk Engine appropriately calculates expected credit losses (collective provisions) and application of credit methodology.
  • Maintain, execute, and enhance the credit provision calculations.
  • Uplift and automate current operating processes within Snowflake.
  • Undertake detailed analytics on provision movements and deliver insights to Management; assess provision adequacy to ensure appropriate provisioning for projected credit deterioration.
  • Evaluate current provision methodology to ensure it remains fit for purpose.
  • Provide regular internal reporting to Management Board, Risk Committees, and the Board.
  • Support the Finance/Investor Relations team with key external reporting deliverables.
  • Assist with external credit risk reporting deliverables to stakeholders (e.g., Shareholders, APRA, Rating Agencies, Debt Funders) including regulatory reporting forms to APRA/RBA.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and challenge the current status quo.
  • Support the Head of Portfolio Credit Risk and the broader Credit Risk team's objectives.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with credit provision models.
  • Understanding of AASB 9 accounting standard.
  • Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Power BI).
  • Experience using Snowflake and Confluence, reporting and documentation environments.
  • Ability to analyse data and present information clearly; strong stakeholder communication.
  • Solid knowledge of credit risk management and regulatory frameworks.
  • Problem-solving skills related to credit provisioning; high attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with ability to build networks and a proactive mindset.
