We are seeking Recovery Nurses to join our Theatres Department As the Recovery Room Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients during their post-operative recovery. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team, and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Your duties in this role will include:
  1. Provide care for patients in the recovery room, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing any pain or discomfort.
  2. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper care for patients.
  3. Document patient information, including vital signs, medications, and other important data.
  4. Provide patient and family education and support.
  5. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations related to patient care.
Skills And Experience
  1. Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  2. Minimum two (2) years perioperative experience.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a supportive service.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong customer service focus.
  5. Ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of patients.
  6. Exhibits exceptional customer service and time management abilities.
  7. Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others.
  8. Ability to work a rotating roster.
Remuneration

Hourly base salary of $36.65 - $51.47 + superannuation based on experience and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8) [FTE $72,420.40 - $101,704.72]

Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
  • Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, depending on the role.
