Perioperative Nursing Leader Opportunity

The department supports a wide range of surgical specialties, including trauma, orthopaedics, upper GI, urology, ENT, obstetrics and gynaecology, and ophthalmology.

As a leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department, including rostering, resource allocation, problem-solving, and mentoring staff. You will also act as a role model to uphold policies and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day operations of the operating theatres and related recovery facilities.
  • Rostering and resource allocation to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.
  • Problem solving and mentoring of staff; uphold policies and professional standards with evidence-based best-practice.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, education, and research initiatives when applicable.
