About the role

Our St John the Baptist Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built preschool situated on the grounds of St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School. The Long Day Care provides a range of activities for children aged 3 to 5 years, encouraging engagement in interests.

We are seeking a Child Care Educator with a Diploma in Child Care who can understand children's needs and create a fun, warm, caring, and safe environment.

Award level:

CSA 4.1 + Above award rate + Retention

Days:

Monday and Tuesday

Hours:

Flexible hours from 7am to 6pm, Long Day Care hours

Ideally, you will be able to:
  • Understand and have experience with the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs
  • Ensure a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment reflecting best practices
  • Assist with observations and experiences
  • Develop positive relationships with children and families
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues
Requirements
  • Current Working With Children Check clearance
  • Completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Completion of CHCPRT025 'Identify & report children & young people at risk'
