About the role

The Forestville Early Learning Centre (ELC) is a purpose-built 60-place preschool located on the grounds of our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Primary School. We offer a range of learning experiences for children aged 3 to 5 years.

We are seeking a Certificate III Child Care Educator who can understand children's needs and create a fun, warm, caring, and safe environment. This is a permanent part-time position working in the preschool room during school terms, from 7:55 am to 3:31 pm, Monday to Thursday, with paid leave during school holidays.

Location: Forestville NSW

Classification: Part-time

Award level: Above award + Paid School Holidays + Salary packaging + $1,000 sign-on bonus

Days: Monday to Thursday

Hours: 7:55 am to 3:31 pm

Ideally, you will be able to

  • Understand and have experience with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Assist the Director/Teacher in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs
  • Create a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment reflecting best practices
  • Contribute to observations and experiences
  • Develop positive relationships with children and families
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues

Requirements

  • A Certificate III Qualification in Early Childhood Education
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance
  • Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis
  • Knowledge of Education and Care National regulations and the National Quality Framework
