Program and Responsibilities- Join the Aboriginal Population Health Trainee program as part of the NSW Health Aboriginal Population Health Training Initiative (APHTI).
- Participate in a three-year, full-time, workplace-based program to increase Aboriginal representation in the population health workforce.
- Complete a variety of placements within ISLHD's Public and Population Health Directorate (PPH), gaining hands-on experience in diverse public health settings.
- Receive close support from the ISLHD Aboriginal Health and Workforce Directorate to ensure a culturally safe, connected, and empowering environment.
- Build relationships with Aboriginal staff across the district and engage with Aboriginal communities across the four LGAs served.
- Undertake part-time postgraduate study toward a Master of Public Health degree, with costs covered by NSW Health.
- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Evidence of undergraduate degree completion and eligibility to enrol in Master of Public Health.
- Valid NSW Driver's Licence.
- Corroboration of Aboriginality and community involvement.
