Tanuki Restaurant Sydney is a modern Japanese izakaya and cocktail bar located in Double Bay. The venue features a raw bar, robata grill, and an internal courtyard, offering a dynamic dining experience that transitions into a late-night lounge. Chef Ken Wee Lee's seasonal menu highlights fresh ingredients with a contemporary twist, complemented by a curated selection of natural wines and sake.

Tanuki Restaurant Sydney is now looking for a talented Trade Waiter to join their team. The right candidate will be responsible for : Deliver excellent table service, ensuring a warm and attentive experience for all guests.

Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner. Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients and preparation techniques, to confidently answer guest queries and provide recommendations. Adhere strictly to hygiene, food safety, and workplace health standards during all service activities.

Liaise effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth and efficient service. Respond to customer concerns and special requests with professionalism and a customer-focused attitude. Manage point-of-sale transactions, including processing payments and issuing receipts.

Keep service areas, tables, and dining spaces clean, tidy, and well-organised throughout shifts. Support daily service operations, including set-up and pack-down of the dining area. Collaborate closely with fellow team members to uphold the venue's quality and service standards.

About you : Minimum of 1 year of experience as a waiter, ideally in a premium or high-volume dining environment. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

Confident knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail pairings. Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced setting. Keen attention to detail, especially in presentation and cleanliness.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Understanding of and commitment to food safety, hygiene, and service protocols. Job type : Permanent / full-time

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
