What you'll do

You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of the BWAD contract, from planning and scheduling through to close-out. The role emphasizes documentation: issuing and tracking contract orders, negotiating variations, managing payment schedules under security of payment legislation, and maintaining audit-ready records. You'll prepare and update live project documents such as PMP, SWMS, WHSMP, ITPs, risk registers, QA documents, and more. You'll lead monthly reporting, formal meetings, and present data on extraction rates, truck movements, stockpile progress, QA inspections, diesel usage, operator and plant utilisation, and KPI performance. On site, you'll ensure crews and subcontractors are aligned, QA/QC checks are completed, and WHS standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Own the full lifecycle of the BWAD contract, including planning, scheduling, and close-out.
  • Issue and track contract orders; negotiate variations; manage payment schedules under security of payment legislation.
  • Maintain documentation to be audit-ready; ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Prepare and update live project documentation (PMP, SWMS, WHSMP, ITPs, risk registers, QA, etc.).
  • Lead monthly reporting and formal meetings; present performance data and KPIs.
  • On site, manage operations, align crews and subcontractors, and uphold QA/QC and WHS standards.
  • Ensure documentation tells the full, compliant, data-backed project story.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of project management experience with complex civil or construction contracts.
  • Experience with major contract forms such as AS4000 and AS2124.
  • Strong commercial skills: forecasting, cash flow, budgets, and KPIs; ability to manage variations and defend claims.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, or Procore; ability to use systems for accurate reporting and clear communication.
  • Leadership capability: guide site crews, mentor junior staff, manage subcontractors, and align stakeholders under pressure.
